Passed theory in UK, failed driving. Possible to take driving test in PL?

Hi, everyone
I passed my theory test in the UK but failed 3 practical driving tests.
I want to travel to Poland to pass practical. Is theory certificate from Britain rekognized in Poland? Or do I have to re-take it? I haven`t got Polish rezidence. Can I still go to polish driving school and then have my exams there?
Any help appreciated

If you can't pass a UK practical test you won't pass in PL either. Practice makes perfect.....

you won`t convince me that Poland is as tough as the Uk regarding that. UK is officially number 2 in the world (Germani is 1) by the toughest of driving exam

the fact that I failed does not mean I am not a good driver.
They will do anything to fail you. That is their aim. The government admitted that they need to keep as many drivers off road as possible and by all means possible.
And the government also said that if road user who passed years ago were to be retested only 10 percent would pass. How is that?

If your driving was good enough to pass the test then you would have passed simple.

Keep trying in the Uk, If learning to drive in Poland is shrouded with as much red tape as everything else then you will find it difficult. Also if they see a foreigner they may just fail you in order to make more money as dual pricing is common in Poland and people will try to rip you off at every single opportunity.

The questiones I would like answered are repeated below:

Is theory certificate from Britain rekognized in Poland? Or do I have to re-take it? I haven`t got Polish rezidence. Can I still go to polish driving school and then have my exams there?

I am not interested in you guessing about my ability to drive (I hold a full drivers licence from non EU country for 4 years now) I don`t need any further comments about my driving. I need ANSWERS to questions . Please don`t bother posting if you just fill like an idle chat!

The average pass rate for UK practical test is about 43%. The evaerge number of attempts to get the license is about 2.3. So sthat makes you slightly below average not good. Keep at it here is my advice to you. dnz makes some good points. Ever driven a left hand drive car? Ever tried to read Polish road signs? Speak Polish?

This may help:

To obtain a Polish licence it is necessary to pass a Polish driving test and to be resident in Poland for at least 185 days in each calendar year. Applicants may also be required to provide medical certificates confirming that they have no medical or psychological disorders which impede their ability to drive.

Driver's licences issued by other EU countries are valid for use in Poland, but EU citizens have the option of exchanging their licence for a Polish one if they wish to, without having to take a Polish driving test. They must have held an EU citizen's residence card for at least 185 days before applying for the Polish licence.

Given that Ireland is an EU member country, I guess so.

Yes. But I don't see how it will help if you are still thinking of Poland. But if you are thinking of getting a license in Ireland then it is valid in the UK. I would imagine you would have to pass their theory test though. I have never heard of a country accepting another country's theory test.

Have you considered taking one of those intensive week long (or so) courses with the test at the end of it.

I don't know. I will let someone from Poland answer that. But you have to be resident for 185 days in Poland to get their license.

It's bad manners to take a swig out of the bottle of vodka you're about to bribe our driving test examiner with. If you don't speak Polish and you want to try this, you'll certainly need to know the words prawo, lewo, prosto and przekupstwo. I still wouldn't rate your chances though.

Let me give you a bit advice. If you have the money then do a crash course with LDC, you can book online or find information at http://www.learnerdriving.com/

I did a 1 week crash course which is about 30hrs in 7 days but the 2 week course is supposedly better and easier to take in and the success rate is good. The 2 week intensive course aren't as long hours as the one week course and I doubt your head hurts as much as it does with the 1 week course. It cost me £530. I drove at about 7:30am - 5:30pm everyday of the week learning EVERYTHING. You get your practical test at the end of it. I failed that due to nerves but I went for just a one hour driving lesson with AA and then I passed my test with flying colours. A crash course works wonders. It's expensive but believe me you'll know exactly what I'm talking about if you went on it. You'll not fail 3 practical tests either. There's no need to jump to another country.

szarlotka:

If you can't pass a UK practical test you won't pass in PL either

Actually szarlotka the standard of driving in Poland is so poor that the EU ruled that LGV and PCV have to take an extra course before they can get employment!
