Polish doctors fly over just to work in the UK

This is proof, if proof were needed, that the NHS has scant regard for its patients. It shouldn't be allowed. It shouldn't be allowed, not because he is from another country, but because there is no way he can be alert enough all the time to make sound decisions. Typical penny pinching NHS.

i also agree that it shouldnt be allowed, not because polish doctors are not upto scratch, my private GP in Scotland was polish and a great Doc. But because that kind off work load can lead to mistakes happening, it doesnt matter how good your medical skills are, we shouldnt expect any medical professional to work those kind of hours.

Somehow she knew something was really wrong with her pregnancy, but once she was going to hospital every time and doctors kept saying everything was fine, she let it go. When she completed 8 month she went to Poland and found out her baby had died in her tummy 3 month ago. bad doctors are everywhere, please don`t generalize!

This isnt a new thing. I guess they must have run out of stories so they picked up on this issue again. There was a really interesting programme on the bbc about young british doctors who are well underpaid and school leavers not being interested in medicine due to the fact they can earn more in other professions. There have been german doctors working in NHS hospitals one and off for years and same for south africans.

Grounded: Grounded The majority of doctors that are making mistakes and costing the NHS - grievances, going off sick for months at a time with stress and making the most of free training in the UK are overseas doctors (I dont mean EU), you see they come here, get all the nice free training and then apply for a British passport!...unbelieveable! And they are UNGREATFUL and crap! We need to invest in young British doctors, not foreign ones whose grammer isnt even elementary!....tsk! I'd rather take my chances with a Polish Dr. any day of the week! Not to mention muslim doctors that are refusing to do medical checks on women or treat people with alchol related problems....tis true folkes...

ShelleyS: Self diagnosis, doesnt mean that's what you had - you are not a professional....sorry but some women aren't good with pregnancy and some florish! well lucky you if you were or will be the flourishing one. hyperemesis.org.uk/ i didn`t exactly sefl-diagnose myself, my gp wrote on my sick leave that i had hyperemesis but didn`t bother to explain it to me saying it was normal morning sickness. well it was far from normal morning sickness, it was far more intense and lasted much much longer than morning sickness. you don`t even have to be a doctor to be able to diagnose that! once you`ve gone throught it, you know it wasn`t average.

When she completed 8 month she went to Poland and found out her baby had died in her tummy 3 month ago. bad doctors are everywhere, please don`t generalize! i feel sorry for your friend :( i can`t imagine that happening to me. i only just recently found out what was wrong with me when i was pregnant. i couln`t understand why i was having such a severe morning sickness while other pregnant women would have gone through it months ago and i was still feeling awful and the doctors here didn`t tell me anything, didn`t want to help me saying it was normal (?), were not happy that i was on sick leave encouraging me to go back to work while all i was able to do was throw up all the time and sleep. a few days ago i did some research on the internet and found that i suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum which is a pregnancy illness affecting only about 1% of pregnant women and is far worse than normal morning sickness. the doctors know only little about it and it pains me cuz i know how hard it is and i know there are women who had to terminate their pregnancies becuz they could not take the severe nausea and vomiting anymore, they were dehydrated in hospital and not being understood! i really just wanted to die myself but i bet if it was men that had to be pregnant and go through this, the cure for it would have been found two centuries ago! so all in all the bloody health system (all around the world) is seriously messed up. i`m also not particularly happy about the fact that i can`t see a specialist doctor so easily. my baby has had a rash for over a month and i went to see a gp (immigrant gp from somewhere in asia, i couldn`t even understand what he was saying lol) 2 times and last time he told me that it`s viral and is gonna go away in a few days (ok not sure if viral rashes stay for as long as a month but he didn`t even know the rash was there for this long cuz he bloody didnt let me finish my sentence as i was explaning what`s wrong with my son!). well that was a week ago and every day joshie is getting more spots. next time i go with him to the gp, i`ll ask to be referred to a dermatologist. ok i got a bit pissed off right now lol goes to the kitchen to get some rice pudding to calm her down
