Polish Music Festival in London (and I'm a bit miffed)

This looks like an interesting event: pkobplondonlive.pl

HOWEVER, am I being unreasonable for being a bit miffed that the website is exclusively in Polish? I feel kind of excluded :(

A massive oversight on the part of the organisers, as I've been getting into Polish music recently... listening to Polish internet radio plus I went to a pretty cool gig last time I was in Kolobrzeg.

shame i am in poland until the 8th otherwise i would have gone ...

i have been listening to polish music over course off past 2 years now ... and listen to a variety of sounds ... :)

Not it's not. I tend to have Polish internet radio on while I'm working - they play some good stuff.

I think I'm gonna go to this, but yes I agree with you that for an event in London it should be advertised in English too, otherwise it looks like a deliberate ploy to keep English people away, although I cant imagine that there are many who dont have some kind of interest in Poland that would be interested anyway. I can find out about how to get tickets for you if you want?

Yep, but in reality you are being rescued from some of the most sh!t music this side of Russia. So be grateful the posters are only in Polish!

No - not at all. I saw Feel live a few months ago (and partied with thye guys afterwards) and loved it. I always try to catch some Polish music on Viva whenebver I'm in Poland.

Hmmm.. I sent an e-mail to the organisers asking how I'm going to pick up my tickets as there's no chance that I'll be able to get to the bank to pick them up on time.... No response as yet...

There is an English version. Just click the flag. It is bunch of red crosses superimposed onto white crosses and with blue triangles filling in the gaps.

polish music is crap, the slavic language is horrible. Why would you want to go in the first place.

The Slavic language? There's more than one country that is Slavic, noimmi.

Glasgow has more crime than most of Poland, and this was the case b4 the Poles came.

I know, but getting hold of the tickets is a complete nightmare. Am now starting to wonder if it's going to be worth the effort. Any other PFers going?

not sure of the process. My boyfriend has registered and is sorting it out. I am thinking it will be interesting since it is all day event and there are no pass outs and no smoking and given the price of drinks at the venue to see how many smuggled bottles of vodka and how many folk are thrown out for smoking. I also include myself in that and Im not even Polish. :)
