I need to have a piece of electronic equipment sent from Poland to the UK asap - its about the size of an old cassette case

UPS and DHL want in the region of 100 GBP

What would be the quickest, cheapest and most secure way of sending it?

Thanks

There are some smaller couriers you could try. I paid about £50 for some large and heavy boxes to be sent to me from London. Took a about 7 working days.

The cheapest (if this equipment isn't too valuable) would probably just be to bubble-wrap it really well and send it via Royal Mail. Recorded delivery is of course safest but slower than regular post (at least on the Polish side).

Dunno if that helps you or not though...

Cheaper than UPS - thanks :)

PS. Just to show what dirty skanksters UPS are - if I ship the package from UK to Poland itll cost 59 GBP but from Poland to UK 104 GBP

Great, huh?

i dont recommend using fedex, used them here in uk and they are a bunch of time wasters and idiots, they don't understand the simplest request and still do it their way. i cant even imagine how crap they must be at sending stuff abroad. use royal mail mr. va.

Go to Victoria coach station find a coach that is going to your town in Poland and pay the driver to take it, and then get someone the other end to pick it up.
I have done this a couple of times and had no problems.

As far as I know, all envelopes (whatever size) go by air to the uk. I usually put one padded envelope inside another, get it registered and marked 'priority' and Bob's your uncle. It arrives a few days later.

The catch is to make sure it's an envelope, otherwise it's a parcel and takes longer.
