Britain's Polish community gathered in London to honour the 90th anniversary of their native country's independence.

Young and old came from the four corners of the UK to celebrate "Poland's big day" together.

About 3,000 packed into Westminster Cathedral for a special mass, while many queued patiently outside.

This is about Polish folk who have lived in the UK for some years, as well as newcomers.

Wroclaw thanks for that. I did read this article only about an hour ago when a friend pointed it out to me, although I have been listening on Or³a who have done some features on it.

It seems there was more of a significant celebration this year of UK Poles than in years gone by.
