Is it true that Moslems of various nationalities are edging out the Poles in Hamtramck? There was even some issue in the media a few years back of the Moslem call the prayer blaring from a street PA system several times a day. Any info on this?

Yeah, I remember when that was a hot issue. Some guy would climb up on a tower and call through a loud speaker for all the Muslims to come for prayer. Five times a day. This wore on the people of Hamtramck. The people of Hamtramck took it to court to stop that practice.
The Muslims countered with the argument.( What is the difference whether the faithful are called to prayer by loud speaker or by church bells) The Muslims won. That practice is continued until today.
