VISA TRAVEL TO USA

I live in the UK and my friend lives in Poland - we plan to go to New York for a week next November - how likely is it that he will get a visa????? My other Polish friends has just said that he stands no chance unless he has got loads of money - anyone know anything about the situation?? Is it the same for travel to Canada??

Like Krysia said, his chances will be better if he has "strong ties" to Poland. Chances even bigger if he own's property or is still a student. He doesn't have to be rich, but have some money in a bank account. My GF got one after 2 tries...and it didn't cost loads of money. Good luck!!

ShelleyS: Not really, since they have a lot of Poles that over-stay their visas Shelley, maybe. I'm just thinking... there're about 1mln of Ukranians in the US, many of them I believe have some problems with visa and they are not interviewed in the US embassy in Moscow and getting visa for 5 years. rdywenur: This would be for a business trip to go there. Unless he has a green card, he shouldn't say he's planning to work in the US.

Kilkline: Maybe Americans aren't aware of this arrangement [Americans can come to our country and have sex and every thing with our girls but we can even go to US... !]. Has it been publicised sufficiently? Please don't publicize this! I'm planning a trip with my adult sons to Poland next spring and if our wives hear of this, they won't want us to go.

Don't be so mean as the Americans are, we give respect and want to get respect from them but still our Army is in Iraq and Bush is using all Polish Army support but when we talk about Visa to USA they don't know us and treat very badly physically and mentally, after all this financially because the fee of Visa is not refundable. I don't know why we are so good after all this happen with us to Americans and American visiting to Poland, we have to treat them same.
