Has Romance died in our day and age? All the fairtales that are told to children seem to be misleading because there are sooooo many divorces . Is romance important in a relationship or is it just simply over looked? We are all not made form the same cookie cutter , so of coarse there are still hopeless romantics and there are those who pull cheap tricks just to swoon someone for their own personal use and then they go right out the door . For me I am in a relationship for 2 yrs now and my bf is not very romantic and I have heard all these stories that he mentions about his "x's" and what he did for them and blah blah blah but it hurts to know that I wont be getting that special treatment , or at least that one moment that is filled with joy and tears just because he thought of me and thought he'd make my any ordinary day seem soo much better just because . I don't know I guess I am a little romantic and he's not even close to being romantic, but is asking for a little consideration and thoughtfulness to much to ask? But then again we are all made form a different mold and sometimes time will tell... So I'm asking what was the most romantic experience in your life?

Evelina, Your BF....sounds very insecure/immature...to be mentioning his past X's... He should make you feel secure, and wanted, and precious as if you were the only woman in the world...he should cherish you....and respect your feelings.... In essence he should love you....

I think most men, should approach a woman, if he is interested, as if she were the only woman in the world left.....if not he has no business going on a casual date...I believe it creates unrealistic expectations...and if he is doing it for that reason, then his motives are not, in the highest respect, ideal.... Love and romance, bring life and excitement, when with the right person.. It makes you glad to be alive....and its inspiring... We have too many wars and violence and need more love in our lives....whether sincere or romantic, or the start of something beautiful to lead to true love.....

the problem with romance is that some women have read all these books, seen movies and such and have in their head romance should be like a story book. they have high expectations of what should be romance and not.
