What is the opinion of a Polish girl (Catholic) getting married to a Englishman (Church of England)?

Can it be done?

If bad, what can I do?

I would have thought that in this day and age it wouldnt really matter, you are still christian and could still get married in a catholic church, you might have to take some classes but it is possible and if the family are uber catholic just promise to bring the kids up catholic..

Not a problem mate, I've done it and I'm a heathen unchristened atheist.

You just have to get the correct documentation from your Polish church(not sure what this is called). This sometimes means a bit of bullsh1tting on your part e.g. saying that you think Catholicism and its constituent parts of guilt, shame and absurd ceremonial duties are a desirable value system for any future children that you will inevitably have(as of course you will not be using any form of birth control at any point in your marriage).
Dont go down the route of trying to become a Papist as it is a long and painstaking process that can take up to a year.

No Problem, I married a Catholic Polish Girl and all we had to do was fill out a few forms and get Christening certs from the church were I was christened. There is some sort of promise however I didn't have to make it however my wife did. I am a non believer and do not even send my kids to church.. therefore don;t worry.

the Vatican and several other Churches have signed agreements on marriages between persons belonging to those Churches, so it's possible that the Church of England is one of them, therefore there should be no problems at all (maybe some formalities, like mentioned by Marcus911)
