i've heard feminism is a big thing in Poland, they've just gotten onto the idea as the west is getting fed up with it, like most ideas that run dry in the west they get passed on east and some day in the next few years will be the hip thing in Australia, lol :)

Anti is the word.

Is feminism here being used to mean feminism (how many Polish women wear dungarees and have very short hair?) or just to mean gender equality?

to mean feminism

I mean feminism according to the concept of feminism developed by feminists.
Women's rights etc.

You know, I've read about some 30 branches of feminism... Usually, these ideologies contradict one another, so, could you be more precise?

So far, I can say that feminist interpretation is quite popular in literary criticism in Poland but I guess it is not what you were asking for.

again, you are not precise. There are many feminist theories. I wonder if you are aware of any of them at all.

As for women rights: do you mean the right to vote? :LOL

There is a Partia Kobiet (women;s party) which was established a couple of years ago.

Partia Kobiet leader, Manuela Gretkowska is now often on tv political debates - if that signifies anything...

Which channel? I haven't seen her for ages. And her party didn't even enter the parliament.

NOr many other parties in Poland;), such as Beer Party I believe. That doesn't mean anything.

I've seen her on TVN24 several times, she's been on public television too. She's on and off. Last time she was on debate on 14 yrs old refused legal abortion, I think.

So hard to know what you mean by feminism!

You mean do women make their husbands do half the housework?

You mean women can drive trams (they have for at least 50 years)?

You mean women marching on the streets for the right to contraception and abortion?

?

Feminism is the right for Women to be seen as identical to Men.

Ladies, you really do not want that.

In the UK, we have a glut of bolshy, loutish Females wondering why no Man wants them.

Feminism is the antithesis of Femininity!

Just as the 'New Man' was to Men. (In the UK)

Feminism hates Women who want to have and look after a family. Like it is a horrible thing to do. It is why Divorce, rampant alcoholism, and kids born out of Wedlock is so prevalent in the UK now.

The Family is the ground that a society is built on.

Take away that, and everything else goes to hell.

A feminist, yesterday:
