We all know that Valentines has become very popular in Poland. But is Haloween next?
In the US kids get dressed up and go "trick-or-treating" from door to door. There are also many contests for best costumes. Here's one of them:

Personally, and this is no disrespect to Americans, I hope the Polish stick to all saints day, as its a wonderful day where everyone remembers their family members from the past who are no longer with them. I think that the all the commercialism that goes with Halloween, is a bit too much, and I would hate to see this overtake all saints day in Poland.

Polish people dont dress up, this is sad day for Poles who go to cemetery to light candles on their ancestors graves, leave flowers and ask for peace for them. This is not day to celebrate like in USA, this is day to think about our ancestors and death.

Same way for the Finns. Although we are getting Americanized all the time in this also.
I hope Poland stays loyal to it's traditions.
I mean one can have a party almost every other day...

Okay for anyone Polish that reads the above link, I can honestly say tonight was the first time I ever heard that the Pope was in any way connected to Bonfire Night!
