In the industrial town of Lodz in central Poland, they are known as skins. They're some of the hottest items on the black market. Prices are high, with buyers paying hundreds of dollars just to get one. Competition for skins is so fierce that some may have even resorted to murder to secure their supply.

Time Magazine

My parents watched a documentary the other evening, quite disturbing really - Im surprised that its hasnt been mentioned on the form before.

Read and enjoy

It was an interesting documetary, which had in fact been presented by a Polish journalist, I was merely put a thread up that didnt include people talking shite about anal sex or cunnylingus! Oh and it actually has some relevance to Poland, because it is after all a Polish forum.

It wasn't mentioned because it took place long before the forum started. It was all over the news at that time though.

not suprised - up to 50,000 people potentially killed for financial gain is, afterall, pretty shoking

I agree, this is awful. same thing happened here a while back in one of our southern
states.. to many morbid sick people.. the two words that come to mind
psych ward.

Whats really bothering is the facts that they said they believed some to be murdered
while en route to the hospital.. my god thats insane.. so who can you trust at that
point??

something needs to be done.. instead of the missle shield maybe dump some
money into the health system , or maybe our helping out this area while building
the shield.. this really needs attention.. and they should get more then 50 years
jail sentence.. make a example of them for being so idiotic!!!

hmmm... these mass murderers were entirely motivated by greed, financial gain, and the money largely came from the government - pumping money into public services obviously has merit but it was the money made available by the government that proved the motivation

Don't see that this is anywhere close to what happened in Lodz, these were dead bodies, horrific I know but at least they were already dead.

You should go back to your african union.

OMG hahahahaha i hope this is a joke! Maybe a selfish lover. Google this and learn: Cunnilingus aka "dining at the Y". Do it and do it right, and your wife will "love you long time." :) Trust me on this one.

Been happening everywhere - surprised they caught it, and the others! They slipped up.

How to stop it? Everyone become an organ donor!

I would rather give life to many others. By more people being donors, it cuts into their illegal profits.

Our doctors are not very good. I agree... but I think this information is exagerrated about the under-takers.

Its not so prevalent. It happens, but not the way it is mentioned in here. You need to be a Polish to understand the entire thing... from articles in magazine, only a concentrated picture is shown... and that is not what Lodz is all about.
