Euro 2008 tickets - wait in line online, the Polish way. And get nothing.

I don't get the reason why Poland - a country of so many computer talents - is so incapable of providing good and fast servers of enough capacity so that people could book tickets for Euro 2008? It is a parody now and not acceptable in the XXI century. PZPN dealt with kupbilet.pl (probably a family member of a PZPN official owns the site) and all they could do is to put information that - wait X seconds until there may be a chance that you even get to the registration page. It is in fact impossible to get in and register, no matter the time or the day.

Not to mention only 33% of all tickets were given to the general public. The rest - 67% have been reserved by the PZPN officials for themselves, their sponsors, family members, some of them will be sold by them on allegro or ebay..

The same story was with nasza-klasa.pl. How they want to go any futher if they don't have the basic system in place. The worst thing is that even the media think it is acceptable and waiting in line - even online - is a part of the Poland culture.

Not sure how they did it in Poland but we german supporters have to wait in line too. I registered on the DFB website and can only hope that my name will be pulled out of the hat in March. The allocations are a joke though you're right. I guess that the small Stadia and Austria and Switzerland dont really help either :(

At least you can register - on the Polish site you wait in line just to get to the register form and it's not possible to do it.

I didn`t get tickets from UEFA so I bought my tickets from ameurotickets.com

they have good prices and UEFA is sucks

ameurotickets.com is fake, i think. Their phone&fax do not work, the input forms don't check anything. Everything is ok for them, as long as you send the money.

CAREFUL WITH WHO YOU GET YOUR TICKETS FROM! I ORDERED A MANCHESTER UNITED V LIVERPOOL PREMIERSHIP TICKET FOR £300 ONLINE A FEW YEARS AGO AND I NEVER RECEIVED THEM. I NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK EITHER.

Don't buy any tickets of the Internet unless its e-bay or an official partner of the venue. I despite ticket touts but i guess sometimes theyre the only way in but there are too many crooks who set up websites to cash in. All it takes is for 50 people to send 100 euro and they close everything. Nice little earner for little work and effort

Hi,

I got my tickets through UEFA...going to quarter- and semi-final in Vienna, but unable to attend first stage (too expensive to stay for that long with no games in between).

So, I have two pairs of category 3 tickets to Germany v. Poland to sell.

Not interested in putting them on ebay or selling them to touts. Make me an offer.
