Hello guys,
I have just arrived in Warsaw, and for the last weekend in football I found myself with the only option of buying a yahoo sport account for 25 bucks. I don't mind the money, but I hope I get to see the playoffs on a big screen tv, so, anybody can tell me for sure if there is a Polish TV broadcasting the event? And a bar showing it? I guess Bar Below or Champions should be a good choice, but last weekend one was closed for New Year's Eve preparation, and the other was unsure about football...anybody interested?

Thanks and happy 2008!

Nope cant stand American "football", not my cup of tea!!!
But I may be able to help you out with the games if you cant find anywhere to watch them; if you go here myp2p.eu/competition.php?competitionid=&part=sports&discipline=america nfootball
you can watch them live online for free.
Read the forum first though and it will make it easier to sett it up correctly. :O)

P.S. Why do they call it American football when you only touch the ball it with your foot very rarely, surely it should be called American armball lol

Oh come on! They are far better and more exciting than boring soccer, which is for kids. Football got it's name from origins of soccer and rugby. In the 1800 they chose to use an oval shape ball and at first the rules resembled those of rugby, but in 1869 they formed their own rules in Princeton.
They do kick the ball, like at the goal lines for extra points.

You obviously haven’t been to a big match then, try going to a European cup game if you ever get the chance the atmosphere is electric that’s why most of the world plays it :O)
I knew that would put the cat amoung the pigeons lol

well, first of all thanks for answering..and, just to set things straight, I personally LOVE both American Football and Soccer... :-) And just because right now it's playoffs time in the NFL and Italian soccer is on stand-by you're not getting any requests for channels showing Inter Milan games... :-)

Replace "American" with "European" and that's the exact attitude of complacent ignorance that keeps more Americans from enjoying the #1 game in the world. Have you really tried to learn about the game, so that you can truly enjoy it? Because if you don't understand it, you never will.
And, yes, I DO enjoy watching the World Cup, the European Cup, and all those other "cup" games.

Why on earth would I force myself to watch something I do not like?

Listen my friend..
1. it was said in jest and was not meant as an insult.

2. how am I stopping Americans from watching it? If anything if you bothered to read the post I was giving him an option to watch it on the internet.

3. "the #1 game in the world" hmmmm, I beg to differ on this, but then I an getting trivial.
:O)

I’m moving to Poland this month. Does anyone know if I can get NFL games on TV?

Cable and satellite providers UPC and N carry NASN, the North American Sports Network, which plays NFL games live and tape delayed. Local expat hangouts usually televise NFL games on request, but you'll be competing with customers who prefer watching European football matches, especially on the weekends.
