Poland 'Could Lose Euro 2012'

Poland could be stripped of the right to co-host Euro 2012 with Ukraine if its government does not reinstate the country's football association this morning, UEFA has warned.

The dispute centres on the Polish Sports Ministry's decision to sack the PZPN (Football Association) board and replace the officials with an administrator in the shape of Robert Zawlocki, chosen by an arbritation board.

The threat here has been blown up, as the original threat was to suspended Poland from this month's two World Cup qualifying matches.
It will all come out in the wash and I really don't think there is much threat of Poland losing the 2012 European Championships...but you never know !!!
P.S. Why do you put the link if you have copied and pasted the whole article lol

The problem with FIFA, and UEFA, is that it is THEIR rules. Who cares, they are a sporting organisation, who have the self belief and arrogance that they can interfere in how a Government rules their country.

"We don't acknowledge a Government appointed FA" Too bad, away back to your land of back-handers and the likes of Jack Warner, a man who is the epitimum of honesty and integrity.

If, as reported, and not for the first time, that the Polish FA cannot sort out irregularities, fraud, corruption, then the Government is quite right to step in.

FIFA and UEFA come second in these matters.

FIFA & UEFA are both riddled with corruption, they won't allow countries to start cracking down on it...

It would appear that the problem has been resolved. I don't know the detail but the PZPN have agreed to follow the road map that was introuduced in 2007 after agreement between PZPN,Government, UEFA and FIFA. Apparently the road map was introduced after previous corruptions allegations.

All's well that ends well. PZPN have an administrator in place, FIFA shout loud, the Government says back off, and now all parties have an agreement and there is no longer an administrator at PZPN. Poland don't lose any World Cup points, and the next big story will be the preparations for EURO 2012.
