I'm not offended.
I didn’t say that this kind of thing doesn’t exist. Polish football fans are no saints far from it, however you have been itching to spread your BS by starting this thread and you stated your intentions in your first post. There’s been trouble with the fans as we all know, we all read reports. You on the other hand without reading the whole article and just seeing a headline “riot” go on offensive and you say things like this:

marek_:
the best education to see how polish thugs work

marek_:
the english love fighting.its part of the british culture.

marek_:
the big diff between the english and polish hooligans is the polish ones have no mercy.they are brutal.

marek_:
the poles look for the enemy

Have you stated facts of this particular case anywhere in your statement?
So I stick to my guns and will publicly call you a LIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because facts in this matter are as follow.

Some 80,000 fans travelled to Klagenfurt, Euro 2008's smallest city with a population of just 91,000. Around 30,000 came from Poland, 25,000 from Germany and 5,000 from Croatia.

Of the 157 detained, 144 came from Germany, 10 from Poland, two from Austria and one from Slovenia.

There is another thread on this forum where I have condemned such behavior. So what’s you shtick?
Facts in this case speak for itself. If I was you I would have never accuse others of this kind of behavior as part of their culture. Just by reading this article I would never call Germans Nazis just because “Some German fans shouted Nazi and anti-Semitic slogans” or say it’s the Germans that are at fault because 144 of them have been arrested. There are idiots in every culture and one cannot in good conciseness defend them but when you generalize and simply state its part of a culture being it a British Polish or whatever it’s a LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time it could be 144 Polish Idiots, who’s to say? And you will never see me defending them or their action no matter who starts the fight. 91,000 fans and 157 detained most of them in all probability because they were in the wrong place in the crowd and only 10 or so of them were real troublemakers I’ll say it’s a very tiny minority of the fans on both sides being German or Polish wouldn’t you? So what’s your Problem?

i dont have a problem appart from when people check stats online then think they know it all with incorrect facts.learn to read.where for a start did i generalise and sayin all polish and brits?i said fighting is part of the english culture which is true. not all brits mainly the younger generation. thats coz i didnt.if you live in england youd know. polish and english is my culture which im proud of so i wouldnt say thing about it if it wernt true. so i can say stuff about it if i want.your reading online/or press reports which are never accurate and dont tell you the full story. for example there might be 500 fans fighting but only 5 arrested that doesnt mean only 5 were fighting which is basically what your last comment was saying.157 fans detained this figure means nothing and varies from press to press in different countries only the police know the true figure.and often the police say more are detained then there actually are to make it look like there operation has been a sucess..157 detained but many more hundreds were fighting.get ma picture now?if you live in poland its different. in england most of the yobs do there fighting outside of the stadium but in poland fans do it inside the stadium they dont fear the polish. the last england internation game i went to was when england played france a few months back only a few got arrested but hundreds were fighting.so dont look at the amount detained because that does not tell you anything mearly how many got arrested.not how many were actually invloved.and thats all the press say the numbers detained but not actually how many were invloved.take the manchester united v milan loads of trouble with a few hundred fans but only a few arrested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUlQyTGdu5w&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deGxkEoomgw&feature=related this is typical example.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54mX9zZms9s&feature=related

watch then tell tell me theres no problem. unless you wanna say the camera is lieing hahahahahhahaha

In the german tv they showed fanfests (along the german/polish border) where both people gathered in the hundred thousands and had fun!

There was one small incidents on the bridge between a german and a polish town...police cleared that up quickly but that was it.

For that this game was announced at some thing of a "war" and seeing the history it was absolutely quiet and peaceful!

The forthcoming Euro 2008 Championship is expected to become a disaster for hosting countries, Austria and Switzerland. The Austrians are particularly concerned about football fans and possible riots which they can organize.

Football hooligans to turn Austria inside out for Euro 2008

Austria’s largest insurance companies launched new services to the local population: soccer vandalism insurance for the period of the European Championship. Damages caused to buildings, gardens, hotel and shop equipment will be considered as insurance events.

Both natural persons and legal entities will be able to effect the insurance policy for the period of the Championship from June 1 to June 7.

Euro 2008 matches will take place in Austria and Switzerland, although Swiss insurance companies do not offer similar services. This is probably because of the fact that the riskiest matches of the tournament will take place in Austria.

Notorious English football fans, known for their passion for pogroms, will not come to Austria and Switzerland. England did not even qualify for the Championship. Football fans from Germany, Poland and Russia may pose the most serious threat to Austria as long as English fans stay home this time.

The game between Germany and Poland on June 8 can become the “match of death.” Football fans of these two countries arranged massive riots during the Championship in Germany in 2006. Apparently, they hate each other so much that even the police can not stop them from fighting.

A crowd of Russian fans will be arriving in Austria in June too. Spokespeople for Russian travel agencies say that the demand on Euro-2008 tours reaches record-high levels. However, Russian football fans do not harbor any special hostilities to anyone.

Russia will play Sweden on June 18. Hot-blooded Swedish fans can be very emotional, just as much as their Russian “friends.”

Football hooliganism can be traced down to the Middle Ages in England. In modern-day world clashes between football supporters may often end with fatal outcomes.

In 1968, over 70 people died when crowds attending a football match in Buenos Aires stampeded after youths threw burning paper on to the terraces. A 2002 investigation into football hooliganism in Argentina stated that football violence had become a national crisis, with about 40 people murdered at football matches in the preceding ten years. In the 2002 season, there had been five deaths and dozens of knife and shotgun casualties.

Here's your answer, some companies have interests in creating the psychosis to sell their new product.
If Austrian insurance companies were sponsoring weather forecasts, you'd probably hear a lot about imminent earthquakes and tornadoes over Austria

Umm, the Home international competition was abandoned becuase of this sort of thing

Scottish fans riot in 1977

The Rangers fans in Manchester produced a predictable reaction from politicians - blame the English. Gordon Brown and a Russian politician started banging on about the Man U v Chelsea match, somehow missing the point that the trouble in Manchester was caused by Scottish visitors not English hooligans.

I would say Scottish fans causing mayhem in England has go nothing to do with football and much to do with resentment (unjustified) about the English.

Pitch invasion and breaking goalposts back in '77 after a win - is not the same as knife attacks, organised violence etc

English Football hooliganism doesn't include knife attacks or etc either, but in 1977 there was outrage at what happened. The rioting Scottish fans in Manchester were the worse than anything perpetrated by English hooligans on British soil, in decades.

Yes, I have a opinion.

The Scots agreed to the union because they were desperate for the money and saw no viable economic future as a independent state. Nobody forced them, they wanted it.

I live and work in Manchester and was shocked by what I saw, we have hosted many international games here and to be honest I very much doubt that the Scots will ever be allowed here in such numbers again, they behaved like animals with no regard or respect for the people that live here, Ive never in my life seen anything like it, Would they have behaved in such a fashion in a city in Scotland?

Seriously ! ! ROFL.........Everywhere else in the world apart from England then......LOL

Goalposts got broken, turf got torn up - after the game - I agree - outrageous !
peterweg:

No, the Scottish people did not.
Is this going to be another thread where you bring this up, accuse other people of starting it then get all abusive with them ? Youre grasp on the history of the union is as tenuous as your grasp of the history of English football hooliganism.

Mr Cow, no one forces people to drink cheap beer, how many times to we hear about the Brits abroad behaving badly because they drink too much, the beer is cheap in Poland, should be blame them for selling their beer so cheap? BTW Tesco sold out mid morning so they were travelling anywhere they could get it!
