Scots in for Euro 2012 rescue bid

Scotland could be the beneficiaries if Uefa takes a dim view on Ukraine and Poland's preparations for Euro 2012.


I dont think it will happen, but it's not a good day when other nations are being considered...

I think it's scaremongering tactics on the part of certain people to get them to pull their socks up. Poland has received a lot of EU money, I can't speak for Ukraine, so should be putting that money to good use by doing up their stadiums.

Having said that, Scotland would be the grateful recipients and benefactors of such charity.

It would be a shame for Poland but....who wouldn't want the Euro finals on their doorstep.

That's an understatement. It would be hugely embarassing for the country and would do nothing to enhance the country's reputation in the eyes of the world.

The only thing that'll happen is that the Poles will emerge despondent and Beenhaaker richer.
