Wisła Krakow to play Tottenham in UEFA Cup 1st Rnd

Wisła have been drawn against Tottenham in the 1st Round of the UEFA Cup, the first leg to be played in London on 18th September and the return in Krakow on 2nd October :-) Another excuse to pop over to Krakow .... and I'll try to get tickets for the first leg match as well.

Nothing's impossible... That's actually quite doable for Wisła :) If they manage not to lose 5-0 in England, they'll have a fair chance ;) What about Lech Poznań? Against the Austria Vienna (if i remember well...). I think they can't fail. Hehe, they beat Grasshoppers Zurich 6-0 in Poznań, they'll beat Vienna -let's say- at least 3-0 ^^ Ok, ok, 2-0...

Wisła will take them but they are far from invicible. They were recently beaten 0-4 by Sląsk Wrocław. That's quite a beating. Spurs may focus their attention more on Europe as they are not faring too well in the league.

As far as I know, Wisła are unbeaten this season having won two and drawn one of their three matches this season. Hopefully we'll see two good games of football, with Wisła eventual winners over the two legs :o) Seanus: Spurs may focus their attention more on Europe as they are not faring too well in the league. still early days ... as Vincent correctly points out and a few good results could put Spurs in the top half. I think Spurs would prefer a good Premier League position than a good run in UEFA Cup. Drastic for any team to drop out of the Premiership ... especially financially !

Seanus: Not long ago, last Wednesday I think OK, but it was "extraklasa cup" and Wisla was playing with it's reserves. On the other hand it was NOT their first lost this season. They lost in Superpuchar (SuperCup) as well to Legia, but were playing with not their best players as well. In the league they are superb so far, winning all the games and being on the top. Not an easy fixture for spurs compared to the load of **** you get in the UEFA cup, but i think they will probably have enough power to finish them off. 1st Leg Prediction: Tottenham 2 Wisla Krakow 1 2nd Leg Prediction: Tottenham 0 Wisla Krakow 0

I think its spurs tie, but wisla krakow might be able to get a win in Poland. I do think spurs will get a shock from the wisla fans! good luck!

well spurs lost tonight well they were overplayed according to my ex-bf who is a life long supporter as is his dad ... and he reckons wisla will win 1st round possibly ....
