Poland visit, need tips on how to organize it

My aunt and I are arriving in Poland on July 2, 2008. We have been confused about information on the internet about tours, lodging, car rentals, train costs, etc. Can anyone give us some advise. We would like to take a tour first about 2 weeks of all of Poland and then spend some time search family names and need transportation. We are unsure of how to organize. Thank you anyone who can help.
