Will a CELTA course in Poland allow me extra months of residency?

A while back, I read somewhere on this forum that if an immigrant enrolls in a TESOL or CELTA course in Poland, the typical 3 month residency can be extended to 7 months - does anybody know anything about this? I am an American who recently relocated to Krakow and am enrolled in a CELTA course at IH this summer. I am about to apply for my residency permit and wanted to find out if this was indeed possible and what is required to obtain this extra residency. Any guidance or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I would think that if you had a contact for 12 months, that would help you get a 12 month residency card, but i'm no expert.

I am not teaching - I am taking this course with the intent to teach...
