So I was wondering, because in the US they make a nice amount all depending on experience.
However, how are the salaries in Poland for a computer programmer in general?
In US its around $50,000 (121,493.04 PLN) average I believe.
I'm not sure what the "dollar" amount of Poland is so, the exchange rate doesn't help me too much.
[ex. what the Americans consider as $1 (buy a soda, chips) is basically consider 1000 WON in South Korea.. 1000 is a big number, but the number itself has nothing to do with the value.]
Thanks.
It seems that there's no programmers on this forum.
I am a programmer and I can say that the salaries are going up every year. Currently the average seems to be roughly about $40,000 a year, but it varies depending on one's experience, location and the technologies involved.
I don't feel like doing a more complex comparison, including the purchasing power parity and such other things.
BTW, necroposting rocks ;)
I don't think you can have a correct parameter.
Programmer of what ? People who make videogames are progammers too.
I don't think there is a specific salary for a so various type of jobs. Working in Google won't be the same as in Ask.com and being in EA sports will be different compared to being in Sega NA
Beside this, big companies as Cisco created teal towns lived by their employees from Asia. These guys are good programmers and accept low salaries (even 1500 USD per month).
USA is huge and 1 dollar in NY is not the same as in Idaho.
Cost of life is very different than in Europe, not only because of rate exchange.
A nice car cost few money, but a dayhospital can be prohibitive if you don't have a company which pays health insurance...
