Still having a hard time in Poland, no job and low pay..

aybe it's no worry for you. For Polish business the strength of the Zloty is bad for exports. For Poles working abroad the money they earn is worth less when they sent it home (noimmi will be pleased). For people like me who want to move there it means I won't be able to afford to buy a particularly nice home outright.

Well I am still having a hard time in Poland no jobs even if I have one ,is sucks the pay is way too low .... plus the currency is going down too !! still did not make my wife want move ... and now it will get cold again !!! God can someone save me ....

God can someone save me .... Welcome back :) Poland's economy is doing okay - at least they are not heading for recession like the UK, Germany and Spain. Why worry about the currency? The £ isn't very strong at the moment but as long as prices on the high street stay okay it doesn't affect me unless Im travelling. I love the cold weather, but it doesn't get that cold here, it just rains and rains and rains, so Im jealous :( As for your wife, she probably has a good job and is happy - if you love your wife then you will love Poland - eventually :)

Hmmm Lir wonders how Poland will miss the World recession, maybe Gordon Brown needs to go to Poland to find out . Wish the effects of the credit crunch were as simplistic Shelley :) the worst is yet to come. I already have noticed ( as indeed many others have ) how my shopping costs have at least doubled ! Recession and rising inflation will affect every persons cost of living, make the most of the high street as it is now, it won't last ! :)

I don't mock people. Debating is not mocking people. I just dont't understand how Poland could be immune to recession. We all were aware of looming recession and inflation for quite some time( its been in all the papers ) What does mock mean anyway ? I' m not familiar with using that word . :) Yes Daisy I just saw that on the news too.

I can't cut and paste am on my iPhone ATM. Your post number 2 refers you say that at least Poland isn't heading for a recession ? That's why I asked what makes Poland immune to it then if the three other Countries you mention are ? :)

about the economy a couple of factors for polands growth. more economically developed countries have less room for growth and have reached a sort of saturation point if u will. uk has a services based economy which goes first in a world slowdown. less money less services demanded. secondly poland has the eu cup in 2012 to work towards and that stimulates the economy specifically construction. warsaw has a staggering amount of construction at this time and nationwide there are numerous projects.

As you said it wont affect me and will affect those that are sending money out of the UK, damn! sausage: For Polish business the strength of the Zloty is bad for exports. This I understand, but at present their economy seems to be stable and no where near as bad as some others in the EU.

For people like me who want to move there it means I won't be able to afford to buy a particularly nice home outright. yeah so it all depends on your situation. some of us want the zloty to stay strong, as strong as possible, since we earn zloties and we like to travel abroad as often as possible. its good for us, bad for tourists who come here and bad for exporters...
