Hello, I just moved to Warsaw from Toronto, Canada and I am looking to teach English while I am here for the next 5 or 6 months.

I have a contact here that I will be meeting with in about 2 weeks (when they return from vacation) who works at a couple of the English language schools in Warsaw, so I will be getting information regarding the schools from him. I am certified, however I have no experience so I would like to begin offering private lessons before I begin applying at the language schools - so that I can get an idea of what it will be like.

I have searched online and have not found many websites where I can post a classified ad offering lessons, other than this forum (probably not appropriate since everyone here speaks English) and warsaw.craigslist.pl (there don't seem to be many posts like mine).

So does anyone know any websites where such postings would get the attention of the audience I am looking for? I am also fairly fluent in Polish, so Polish language websites are fine for me.

Thank you very much for any help,
Rob Wieromiej

Welcome to Poland robW90
I live in poznan but might i suggest some ways of getting your sevices out there:
- I allways see fliers attached to lamp posts etc advertising a nmber of services e.g. grinds, credit etc. Attached are little slips with phone numbers on it. I suggest that you write some of advertisiement in English so they know you are defintely a native speaker.
- Put up notices in your local shop and/or cofffee shops in the cetre of town. Try get the coffee shops where professionals go as they would be very interested in using a native speaker.

Best of luck.
