Where can I buy very soft Toilet Paper in Poland?

This is something I have been wondering about for a good while. I have noticed that, even when you buy the expensive toilet paper it's still rather rough. Now, for the first few weeks this was a real struggle for a Quilted Velvet or M&S man. Is there anywhere you can get good soft toilet paper or am I just going to need to acquire a ring of steel?

The scented paper from Biedronka (5zl) seems OK.
Can't remember the brand name though

I will check that out cheers. Either that or I could buy some hardcore Tesco Value brown stuff and just get used to it!

I'm surprised Cardno, I find the stuff we get back home to be much the same, even worse depending on what you buy, of course.

Try Regina, that's what I'm using at present. Try Velvet with the dog on the cover.

I have had a couple of rough ones but, generally, I find it fine and I've tried with a few over the years.

Really? I found even the really cheap co-op stuff back home was much softer even than the most expensive stuff I could find here.

To be honest I am not that fussed...I lived in Indonesia where it was those 1ply shiny napkins as toilet paper in most places.

It was more a curiosity.

Regina isn't that expensive. It does the trick. At my grandparent's house in Inverness, they have soft paper and then this 2nd option which, for the world of me, I can't work out why they buy it. It's sth akin to sandpaper. It can actually cut your rectum, it's not really what I'd describe as toilet paper in the sense that it doesn't have ply rolls.

If your rectum doesn't get cut here, you'll be doing fine :)

Why do they have 2 types of toilet paper in the house? Is it one for family and friends and one for any workies that drop by?

melodia (scented), velvet, queen. Are available at Biedronka. I've just checked.

I've often wondered about that myself. Maybe it's because they want to catch any unsuspecting visitors out. I'd describe the first type as urine soakers. You know, excess drips and all that, yeuch!

Or maybe it's a Catholic form of punishment. My Grandma is Catholic so maybe she punishes my Grandad by making him repent for his sins ;)

Hahaha, well there is that law now in Scotland that means that you need to let ANYONE that asks to use your toilet (under the 2007 Ramblers Rights laws) so maybe that's why. But if they are in a relatively built up part of Inverness (I say built up...but in relation to say...Furnace) then that's unlikely to be a problem.

Or possible repenting...that's a funny image actually.

Yeah, she had that kind of personality. She was brought up with rather strict values that bordered on puritanism. You are screwed if you believe in seditious practices, she will put an end to that, LOL.

Well up North there will still be quite a contingient of the Wee Free kicking about no doubt. I remember heading off to the islands with some mates on a Sunday camping and the pubs were shut...I was raging!

The best brand is Lambi and the best Lambi is Lambi Satin.


Unfortunately it is a bit hard to find. I get mine at Bomi.

TESCO's ... their range is soft plus if lucky can buy 2 for price of 1 on 8 packs so get 16 toilet rolls for about 7zl :)

plus you can have plain or fragranced which perfumes your toilet room out some what :)

I second the lambi. It's better than Regina and the worst I've had is scented velvet. It flat out hurt.

you have the pleasure of the soft paper, but if you abuse it by being profligate with it (wadding great reams into protective pads, so as to avoid all offensive contact; excessive cleanliness; etc.), then you pay the price by having to finish off with Izal medicated arse-sander. Simple. So yes, there is a Catholic theme of 'you enjoy - you pay' there ...

I can believe in this!!!!

Let me tell you something the cheapest toilet paper, the most recommended is Gazeta Wyborcza, yes that truth. We Poles, are using GZ in loo, and you know what???Is no tricky at all, low price no tricky surprise.

It costs about 8zl for 6 rolls, compared to 7zl for 16 rolls of Tesco's cheapest. So I'm spending what, 3zl a week extra?

That's bold of you to say so ... but you are right: lambs, in reality, have wiry coats laced with strongly-scented natural oils (and sheep shit), whereas cute little puppies really are slippery-soft and cute and do smell nice and it would seem a pity to, erm, wipe one's arse with them ...

I of course don't have this problem, being a woman, and never doing anything more than powder my nose in the bog. You poor guys.

toilet paper, this is great, but i do agree lambi is great for shit tickets, and no breaking the fingers through for a mess, just another question, what about the crap napkins, come on, you think at restaurants they could afford to buy something better than those single thin as a hair ones....

This thread is hilarious - I remember having a problem with horrid loo paper in the CZ Rep and then after visiting a very nice hotel bar and using their facilities (very nice) My friend and I continued to pilfer the paper for the rest of our holiday - nice and quilted it was unlike the scrachty stuff my lower end hotel had :)))
