You can buy them at the KDT covered market on the corner of ¦wiêtokrzyska and Marszalkowska. But expect to pay about 2000zl for the 16GB model.

Also be aware that if you use a foreign simcard you will be charged to receive all calls and pay far higher prices to make calls and send text messages. You'd be much better off getting a Polish simcard and using that.

iphone in Poland?

any people from Poland who can help me?

I going to Warsaw this weekend and some friends has told me that you can buy unlocked iPhone 3G in Poland, but Apples list says they are locked.
I read online that they can unlock it in the store when you buy it?

Any one has first hand information if it's possible?

it's possible.
not legal.
that's the difference

as a side note, how well do iphones work in PL, and are they popular?
I was thinking of maybe getting one since i'll need a PDA-like organizer to keep everything in order and so on

it's not illegal to unlock a phone in Poland.
Iphones are not that popular in Poland. There are many better and cheaper phones here.

What were you expecting from a lens that small?!

I got an iphone 3g the day they were released (august?) from Era and do not recommend using them. They sold me a phone which sholuld have been sold in Germany (it had all the settings for T-Mobile in Germany) and then after I had been back to their main shop in Warsaw twice, basically told me that it was my responsibility to get the thing working properly.

Unfortunately, all of the mobile operators here are complete ars*holes....

Ben, How come you are selling them below ebay.com prices?

I see you communicate by hotmail and no doubt you will be wanting the mug punters to send you cash by western union.

One to avoid I think
