Moving to Wroclaw in 1 week, meeting people?

Hello everybody,

first, this forum is awesome, I'm learning so much about Poland here!

I'm Italian, I live in Barcelona and after a few weeks of uncertainty I've just got the green light, I'm moving to Wroclaw in one week! that's so crazy, I can't believe it yet!

Luckily my manager helped me with papers and flat, so I really don't have to worry about anything.
Well, more or less, as I don't speak Polish at all, and I do not know anyone over there.

Do you know whether it is easy to meet people there? All the Polish people I've met so far are so friendly and nice, I'm pretty positive about it.
Are there any places I should hit in order to meet people?

There's a lot of information about Wroc³aw on PF. Type Wroc³aw into the search box on the top right corner of this page and you will get many results. Good luck with your move.

I came to Poland unable to speak any Polish , but i did have the help of some Polish friends here who spoke English , my Polish is stlll nothing to be proud of , but i get by , and love being here...You will soon make a few friends that speak English , and bit by bit you will learn Polish , even if you don,t have time to go to school and learn it... I hope you have a happy time here Witam.. !

I'm sure it's going to be a great experience. I don't expect it to be easy but that will probably make it even more interesting...hard work will repay me with interests, I know that!

try a club or pub in the old town many foreigners come there, you might even meet an Italian person, that should help you get adjusted

I would suggest the club near KFC and the russian disco.

I suggest going to Guiness Pub (Plac Solny) or joining Wroclaw Expats group on Facebook.
