Hi, I want to get a temporary residence permit for Poland. I am American. The Polish consular website lists that the Consulate may request: "A certificate showing that the applicant has no outstanding financial obligations in the country of origin" Does anyone know what sort of document would satisfy this request? Has anyone been asked for this type of document for your temporary residence application? Dzienkuje, Drew

in the uk, it says that it's a certificate from the inland revenue (but in the inland revenue website, you will not be able to find any information about this document). it could be the P60.

This is Poland and every office asks for different things. I'm also American and have gone through the residency card thing twice. PM me for details if you want them.

db1874: I have temporary residence in Poland, am from an EU country and didn't have to supply proof about any outstanding tax liabilities I had. Never heard about anyone having to do this from the EU. Non-EU is fair game - they're entitled to ask for anything they want, really.

Call the IRS. They will send you a copy of the past few years worth of returns. That's what they did for me. What region/city are you registering with? scottie1113: This is Poland and every office asks for different things. I found this to be true. If you are going for work, don't assume your employer knows the rules. Find out before hand.
