Transport: the best way of moving stuff to Poland.

First off, I did a quick search and never found anything relating to my query...so if there is one then feel free to move me there mods.

I am heading to Poland soon and I am wondering...what is the best way of moving my stuff over. I don't have any furniture (worth taking) so it will mostly be DVDs, Clothes and random rubbish...maybe my hi-fi. It wouldn't be worth getting a container...it would proabably all fit in 2 or 3 boxes. Now would it be cheaper for me to post this out from the UK...or can anyone reccommend a decent haulage company that will do this for me?

it might be cheaper to do it in a few trips ie store at a relatives and take with you when you do need it ... :)
other than that there is a few listed peeps in Panaroma magazine or Polish Express newspaper i could have a look and send you numbers if you like?

That would be awesome if you could. Doing it on a few tripe would be a bit of a nightmare, i mean Ryanair are giving nothing in the luggage allowance...plus a whole flight home and back just for picking things up is a hell of a hassle.

If you could check that out, and you think it is reliable...then that would be great.

Ah right the company I used were really reliable and fast but based in Sutton Coldfield, not much cop to you :/

Cardno, check this site out, when I moved over here I sent over 2 boxes of stuff (clothes, books etc) with a combined weight of 30kg. I just checked back and found the invoice in my archived mails, it only cost me £65 which i reckon is pretty reasonable.

Avoid Eagle Transport - I used them to transport some produce I needed for an event in London a while ago and my package got 'repacked' and a number of items (bottles of vodka) disappeared.

I will jump into their office when I am back in Glasgow and see what the rates are. They seem to be the simplest for me...I am quite local to their Glasgow agent anyway. I will tell you how much I get quoted when I find out.
