Moderators: Why are threads asking WHERE to buy things moved to Poland Items?

I've asked for advice on where to go twice now and the threads were moved and not answered by anyone. I am not SELLING anything - the title of the thread was moderated from my original question and then was moved to a different forum.

Please can anyone tell me where to buy aphid spray for household plants, in Warsaw, as I have some lovely plants which need help. I've tried Leroy Merlin, supermarkets etc etc but not seen ANYTHING suitable in Warsaw.

Hope someone can help my nice plants!!

Poland Items
Buy, sell, or trade your personal, Polish-related items in Poland or in the world.

Aphid control
Use a mild solution of soap and water sprayed onto the plants or you can wash them off using a hose if the plants could stand the pressure. You really dont need to use pesticides.

But you wanted to buy something (either a product or service). Such threads are being moved either to "Other classifieds" or "Polish items." It's hard to keep threads about buying or selling a specific item or service in the "Life in Poland" or "Poland General Discussions" forums because one specific answer would be enough to close the thread (and such threads apply to the classified sections).

It will be possible to implement as soon as it won't be possible to have more than email account per person... ;}

I guess that will never happen then:)

What about IP address? Well theres ways around that I suppose?

I imagine a person with 20 screenames would have to keep very busy logging in and out switching names all the time:)

Not possible because one IP can be shared by thousands of different computers..

I think one user ever tried that here but after some intervention he only used one username ;). In general maybe 5% of posters may have more than one username (and not necessarily post as two different users).

I see your point. But "other classified" gets much less traffic than "Life in Poland" (doesn't it?). And "Where to buy Irish sausages in Warsaw" simply doesn't fit in "Polish items".

The poster shouldn't care about traffic, the most important is the correct categorizing.

A sausage is still an item in Poland..

^Of course the poster is going to care about traffic! If I wanted to know where to buy Irish sausages in Warsaw, I'd want as many people who know about Warsaw to see my post. But if you insist on those categorization rules, that's ok: I'd just ask if anybody knows of any shops in or near Warsaw which sell Irish sausages and make it clear that I didn't want to buy any, just to know where people have seen them while living in Poland.

OK thanks Wroclaw, I'll make a point of looking in that thread. It just seems that some threads were left in Life In Poland and others moved, and the ones moved don't get seen and don't get replies.

The question I asked about buying something else was moved and had no replies at all.

However, Sledz, might I ask if you are accusing me of being more than one person? If so, I am wondering who on earth you think I might actually be because without a diagnosis (or reason for diagnosis) for multiple personality disorder I am pretty sure I am only myself. Why on earth would I care about traffic? I care about APHIDS on my plants, or whatever else it is that I am trying to get help finding in Warsaw.

If that wasn't aimed at me then my apologies Sledz but since I have absolutely no idea who you are I would wonder why the accusation otherwise. Shrugs.

As to the comment about being a trouble maker ... my god. Asking a question and looking for some help isn't being a trouble maker. Compared to some of the people who JUST go looking for trouble on this site, and pounce on any thread to go rampantly having a fight ... I recommend this site to many people as a place where they can get support and assistance and I try in my own small way to pass on anything I have learned. So getting frustrated at asking a question no one seems able or willing to answer because it has been moved? It's not actually correctly categorised now ... this was not meant as feedback it was STILL trying to get an answer so my thanks to those who were actively helpful, much appreciated.

That's VERY funny Harry and quite clever.
