Now I have posted that screen capture where there was no time present, it has since appeared. Will new forum features in future be announced before they start working? Perhaps if this is to be the way, we could actually have a grand opening ceremony.

Still can't find it.

Do you want any more screen captures? Just in case you're not sure where all these times are yourself.

If you read my original posts above, I announced they were working on "forum topic and thread pages." But you apparently looked everywhere else except for the forum thread and topic pages and even took a screen-shot. Why did you took a screen shot of other pages is a mystery :

Anyway, it should work on other pages too.

It does say in the corner "Time in Poland" then no time, so I assumed that it was supposed to do it on that page. I mean, I don't leave something at the end of my post like that.

Will we see any boobs bouncing across the screen on logging in?

One of the funniest things I have ever seen was my Canadian roommate, a prudish twat, when he was in the local library in Izumo. Viewing any sexual matter was strictly forbidden. He tried to click on the X to remove the boob pop-up. In doing so, he created another one. He tried to click it off and up popped another. In a panic, he created about 15 more by continuous clicking. The Head Librarian came across and asked him what he was doing and how all the boobs came to be on the screen. He looked, for want of a better word, sheepish.

It was just the fact that he was so stiff. So, anyway, no boob feature here I presume? LOL

I don't leave something at the end of my post like that.

If I was to use your argumentation, I would ask: "Why do I see my unfinished message in the post form box while I'm still typing it and still haven't finished writing it"? Or "Why doesn't the typed-in message appear before I actually type it"?

... and in English, please Admin?

You say that that page was not going to have the time in Poland on display, yet it did say "Time in Poland:" and no time.

Let's not use eachother's argumentations. I don't think either of us would be able to get the hang of it.

You say that that page was not going to have the time in Poland on display, yet it did say "Time in Poland:" and no time.

You should havve written that you assumed so. I only wrote:

Now on forum topics and threads the current time in Poland should appear.

Where does it say that no other pages were not going to have the time? At the time of writing the message ("now") the time only appeared on topics and threads pages. But later they were added to other pages too. You, instead of checking the topic and thread pages, went to the other pages and started complaining. So your assumptions were incorrect from the very beginning and now you're trying to change the facts to prove your point. But the facts are not on your side, sorry..:

Great Admin. Can we get timestamps on the posts changed to be PL time too rather than CST? That would be really useful. Or be able to choose our timezone if you don't want to force everyone on to either GMT-6 or GMT+1

My school has 7 clocks, showing time from around the world. It's funny, I come in at different times but the clocks always show the same time.

Clearly they are not using Duracell batteries.

It's helpful in a way, something a bit different.

What do you dislike about it, Sophia?

I dunno, something to do with perusal in privacy feeling slightly trampled on. It's a feature I disliked on another forum I was on, but it wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't just realised I have to be logged in to post! I wasn't around when this happened on PF!

I suppose there are benefits, of knowing you can expect a reply in conversations because you can see who is around. Lol ignore me, I'm a moaner to the core - nice to see new stuff going on really.

so, you guys can stalk the rest of us, eh?

...I know this is in jest...but lol to a lesser extent haha :)

In some forums you have, in others you don't have to be logged in to post.

If you read carefully this thread you'll find out that the feature only shows users who have been online in the last HOUR, not in the real time.

thing is though that i've never logged out i don't think, so does that mean everytime my laptop is running on wireless broadband that i am seen as 'logged in' to polish forums?? lol

It cannot be accurate if the answer to that question is 'yes' as i am not actually there all the time and even when i am at my laptop i'm not always on pf :)

if you haven't specifically logged out then, as soon as you start interacting with the website you will automatically be logged back in. if you have PF open in a window and leave it alone the webserver won't know you're there.

i'm assuming that i would be counted as 'logged in' as the cookies on my laptop would register me as such. I don't know if it automatically happens as i've said, a little like when you turn on your pc/laptop and it automatically logs you into facebook, msn messenger etc etc.

As explained before, you can be on the site for, let's say, 30 seconds and it would still be possible that you appear as if you were online 24 hrs. Just refresh page every 59+ minutes to achieve that. Cookies have nothing to do with that.
