New server and problems with updating

ok for one thing, I uploaded a pic last night on PF, I dont see it in my profile, but
when I go do a seach for my SN and look into it that way it shows up ( slow)

also theres a note in my profile saying users stuff is the same ( not updated)
so what do I have to do to fix this?? I looked and looked for a update button

anyone else having problems.. the old server never had problems.. course I am
grabbing at straws, because I cant figure out why its so messed up now!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

even when I pm, it shows the PM as unread, and wont update or show new Pms
unless I go clear my browser and come back and re-log in.

this never happened before.

I see your picture without any problem. Press F5 to refresh and see if that helps any. :)

u do, but when I go into it, now its showing a red X at the top of where the pic is
supposed to be and in the box says me and my daughter.

My best advice at the moment is to delete it and try to upload it again. I have viewed it on Firefox, Flock and Internet Explorer 8 and it's there every time.

Threatening the computer is often effective. I usually threaten mines with a trip out the window. ;)

Although, I tend to wait and see if the problem is PFs before I open the window...

My mum uses this "new speak", doesn't mean a thing to me.

I get all sorts of text messages where i have to ask people to speak at least one language....

you helped make me laugh when I was getting mad thats for sure lol

its pretty frustrating when it doesnt work properly, I prob need to go update something
on my comp.. the problem with that is, I am the self taught computer whiz - and im
far from expert, but of course the rest of my family thinks everything will just work and
dont put forth effort to clean/fix/upgrade.

MY work is never done ugh!! LOL

I find that half the problems are some bleedin program tryin to update... endlesss updates... I was perfectly happy the way it worked, why do I need to update anything (so you can contact you friends more easily) hogwash! it is just rubbish, my friends know how to contact me, always have, so stick your updates where the sun doesn't shine!!!.
I love ranting (venting) a lot:)

I think this is the problem with computers, they need to learn about us!.
They need to know that when i write "f**k off, you're takin the pi**" I mean "if you get the chance, could you type that up".

Yes it is a computer related problem Patrycja, rather than a PF server problem. I had the dreaded "red x" problem myself a couple of years ago and had to delete two keys in the registry ( not for the faint hearted ).

Maybe you could try deleting your temporary files,history and cookies from your Internet browser, this can help sometimes. Failing that your best bet is "Google" there will be many people who had the same problem, and may have left a solution.

That's what may happen when some files are being updated, it usually lasts for a few seconds.

I noticed that too. Not a problem. You are temporarily left out but regain access in an instant. Any teething problems, Admin?

It's an area that I'm not overly familiar with. My brother would be. There are certain forum members who have experience of servers and their operation. I could point them out but I think everything is under control.
