Smoked carp are of this world!

There seem to be a lot fo carp-bashers on this forum. Wild carp can indeed have a muddy taste when living in muddy, silty ponds and lakes, but those that are farrmed as in Europe and the Orient are much superior. However, there is also the factor of mind over matter.

In the US carp are regarded as a coarse fish and none too palatable by Caucasians (only Afro Americans eat them). But smoked they are out of this world. I recall one occasion on LAke St Clair near Detroit years ago there was one guy who swore he wouldn't be caught dead eating carp. Well, a fisherman served him a portion of smoked carp saying it was whitefish, and he said it was the best he had ever eaten. I would tend to agree. Except for one major drawback: the tiny Y-bones and I-bones. Dunno if smoked carp are available in Poland.

yeah well smoke em real good because they are well known to carry tapeworms and you can catch one from eating it if not cooked real well.

jewish people get tapeworms a lot from carp, rather pandemic among them. they make that carp recipe, I forget the name, mix it with their hands, lick their hands...

and voila. tapeworm.

amazing the amount of yicky stuff I read.

What about gay carp?
They have rights too, you know.

Just wondering: how the heck did he get that beast out of the water? The animal is nearly as big as himself. Loved one of the comments on the page: "Wow, that's ugly! The fish is ugly as well!" :))

I hope he put the poor animal back in the water again.

Edit: btw: tapeworm is THE solution for fat ppl, you'll lose weight without even going on a diet :)

>^..^<

M-G (let's not forget animal rights)

But the carp didn't give up smoking!

If you farm fish, why don't you farm salmon? No wonder people in Poland don't eat seafood; that's because all they have to choose from is carp or... carp :)

none too palatable by Caucasians (only Afro Americans eat them).

LOL where did you get that from? Did you pull it out of your as$? Because it does smell like that.

Hey, it's my Jesus-Freak religious right to be a carp-basher!

I can,t say i am a big fan of carp..not that great a taste , and all them bones to sort out....I will eat it at Christmas if i am invited to a Polish home , but i would much rather have a chicken or a turkey on my plate...

You would think that being born in a town by the sea , i might be into seafood , but not at all into it , apart from Scarborough fish and chips of course...
