There are also great Polish cakes - for example sernik and makownik. They take some time and experience to prepare them well though -- but they are YUMMY!!!.

Rossi,

Christmas in Poland is a little different in each region. Find out where your guest comes from and then you'll get it right. With tips from us of course.

I add one or two to polish "rosol" (gives nice aroma and change the color a little bit) and are pretty good as mix with cabbage for pierogi's fill.

Hi. I found this website looking for a good authentic recipe for making kielbasa. I'm from the Toledo, Ohio area originally, but living out west now, and can't find real kielbasa. I know recipes vary from area to area, so if there's anyone out there who would be familiar with recipes from the Hamtramk area of Michigan, or NW Ohio, I would sure love to hear from you.

Thanks so much.
