On a few occasions I have been served a kind of goł±bki casserole in whcih the cabbage is chopped and the whole thing (cabbage, rice, mince, tomato sauce, etc.) is baked in the oven. Theoretically it should taste the same, but somehow it's not. Any comments?

It's deppend in what you bake them. For example I tried in glass casserole and they have other taste than in metal pot or in steamer. For me the best are from metal pot like this:

My family often cook them and this is the best way to prepare them in such pot. Important is to cover them when they're baking.

its called the lazy way.. because putting together hamburger, rice ,cabbage and all
that is alot of work and time. so someone must have come up with the idea because
they had a taste for them, but didnt want to put in the hours. :)
