Packet soups recommended or not

The "Gorący Kubek" soups are awful, but the real thing, i.e. the ones you have to actually simmer in a saucepan are nice... much better than any English packet soup.

The only rivals to Polish packet soups are Telma kosher soups (but let's face it, that's just pork-free Polish food anyway, lol).

Hi guys,
The thing with Winiary Barszcz Czerwony is actually not really true. Provided you bought the one that has "instant" written on it :D This is my favourite one. When I go to Poland I pack my luggage with the packets and I gotta say that this is this something that sometimes hangs around your head - "I would like to eat something sweet but spicy".
I have even managed to copy the taste myself according to my mums receipe, but the instant version is much easier on the winter nights.

The thing with the saying "like mums" is having a fault in it - I have been in hundreds of Polish homes and every woman makes barszcz differently :) So you just gotta find the one that tastes best for you.

Best regards
