What is with you? Why do you not keep in contact? Have you fallen into some sort of crisis? Plus something about someone's greetings but the sentence is incomplete.

What is with you? can mean that the person is being moody or what's your problem? Like sb is acting up.

the 'cha' thing may be an exclamation (if it is it is incorrectly spelled - should have been 'ha')

and pozdrowionka is simply greetings (pozdrowionka is diminutive of pozdrowienia)

well you get all kind of crises in Polish (similar to English) including midlife crisis - kryzys wieku ¶redniego
the word was incorrectly spelled in the message you cited

the only thing close to that 'cha' that I think of (if pronounced like in English) is 'cze' - which is short/slang for 'cze¶ć' (hi) - that could be it in this case - but that's not sure thing

yes you got all kinds of crises -

kryzys ekonomiczny/finansowy - financial/economical crisis

kryzys moralny (państwa/społeczeństwa) - crisis of morals of the state/society

kryzys emocjonalny (psychologiczny) - emotional/psychological crisis (the message relates to this type)

often the adjectives are omitted when the context is enough to tell which kind of crisis is addressed

this is best rendered in Polish as 'Co z tob± (jest)?' or even 'A tobie co?'/'Co tobie?' (which are are actually short for 'A tobie co dolega?' - What is it that you suffer from)

the latter forms are actually dismissive or ridiculing

that's why it is used when there is some level of acquiantance between the speaker and the one addressed and there is supposedly is some problem (in the perception of the speaker)

anyway all these forms (I was just giving some additional insight to the remark given by Seanus) have nothing to do with the message you have received sadieann

czy zby should be one word simply(so bad spelling again) - czyżby - it is sort of an emphatical construction - perhaps it is approximated in English as 'Were it some crisis (personal) that had fallen upon you?' (not sure here)

jeeez.. "co tam u ciebie?" is generally "how are you doing?" it's not an exact translation but this is precisely what it means, and nothing different.

Gumishu, I wasn't able to respond back. Thank you so much with this ONE sentence! I really appreciate it. It's hard to respond unless have complete understanding. How could one Polish sentence be so hard? I have a way to go with my Polish if this is the case <LOL>.
