Hi,

simply - what does it mean?

I've got an email and i don't understand first sentence:

hi esek,

Hope this finds you doing well. [ ... ]

i used google and it seems it's quite often used so most probably it's grammatically correct

Basically if someone has not seen you for a while, they might say " hope you're doing well" meaning "hope your job, studies or life in general is going Ok for you. If talking about your health, then they might say " hope you're keeping well.

The sentence is not grammatically correct, though. Even I cannot understand it.

It's not unusual, it's downright stupid. A native English speaker should never make such mistakes, especially if addressing someone who isn't fluent.
