Hello everyone.

This is my first post but I've been lurking for a little while. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with my dilemma? Recently my polish friend, who incidentally happens to be the most attractive man on the planet (I'm 33 and I don't say that lightly) left the UK for a new job...now I'm hoping he isn't a forum member or I'll drop through the floor!

I'm trying really hard to learn some polish but I can only manage some laughable small talk. This will be the first email I've sent him since he went and I want to say a bit more than my language skills will allow. I'd be most grateful if someone would give me a hand, I was thinking along the lines of (cringe..)

I hope you have arrived safely and you are surviving your welcome home celebrations. I bet everyone is so pleased to see you? The 'lunatic' has finally decided to leave me alone and all has been peaceful for me since your departure. I thank you for your part in this because it wouldn't have happened with anybody else (whether you know this or not). Not sure what I'll do without you here though....perhaps I'll get fat and grow a beard? Who knows? Seriously though, I miss you very much and it feels like I've been shot. Ah I'll stop there...

I'm really looking forward to coming over to visit you (with my beard). I'm doing my best to make Dougie confirm some dates so you can warn all your friends that we are coming over! I think it will be the first week in August...and don't try hiding Poland isn't that big!

I wish you the best of luck with your new job, enjoy your adventures and I will see you soon.
