Dzien dobry,

I'm looking to translate "note" as it is used in music. I wasn't sure if there were specific terms that may not be in my basic dictionary. The exact phrases I'm looking for (or of course, however it translates) are "small notes" or "notes inbetween". I'm working on a tattoo, so I'm also hoping for something somewhat ascetically pleasing seeing as most of my friends only speak english. I'm a fan of "mała(e/y?) muzyka", but just checking how the others sound. The basic thought is a focus on the small bits of music inbetween.

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it. I know enough Polish to guess and probably embarass myself in conversation, but obviously that's not the best idea here. :)

Music "note" translates as "nuta". I'm not sure what you mean as "small notes" and "notes inbetween".
Also, I don't know what is that "mała muzyka" youre a fan of. If you could explain it more, maybe we could help you better.

small notes

Do you mean "grace notes" (przednutki) here ?

Wow, thanks! I realize there isn't really such a thing as a small note, but my thoughts behind the small bits of music inbetween (though they could reference those that aren't the melody, such as the bass), is the small parts of life that you may overlook, but are the structure and depth to everything. A melody is lonely alone. I suppose it's a bit more poetic than literal. Does that help? If anyone has a suggestion that doesn’t directly translate, but encompasses the idea, by all means. I’ve just started exploring ideas for the piece.

As for "mała muzyka", when I say I’m a fan, it’s just as much of the ascetics of the words.
However, I'm more a fan of "małe nutki" and "przednutki". To me, they can symbolize the same ideas.

Dziękuę!
