This is in face very common coming from the two-faced Polish. What they say to your face rarely reflects their true feelings. Also, as a foreigner, keeping the contact sweet between you is also to their advantage because it is never clear if and when your details may assist them in some way. However, just be diplomatic and say something like 'było bardzo przyjemne-trzymaj się, kto wie, a być może,że spotkamy się jeszcze raz'...of course, you do not really hope for such a thing and you part company leaving him or her a false address and telephone number!!

Don't let your emotions of falling in love cloud the real person she is inside and what she wants from you. Just keep it cool and what you answered is good and frd's translation is good.

You complain about that in others but you do the same thing. Maybe it's just human nature? Nearly everyone is like this. It's called "networking" it's all insincere and only in place to get people what they want. If you want to be in the game, you gotta play the game.
