Hello,

I have a problem understanding "zagaduję tego kolegę".
I hesitate between two meanings:

1. I draw away from this friend
2. I catch this friend's attention on me

Thanks in advance

I have a problem understanding "zagaduję tego kolegę".I hesitate between two meanings:

1. You keep talking, talking, talking to him in order to cope with stress before entering a dentist room.

2. You start a chat with a girl in order to draw her attention on you.

3. You start a chat with security officer to help your friend steal a chocolate bar.

2. I catch this friend's attention on me

by speaking to him/ asking him a question/

zagadnij Michała o ¶lub jego siostry - ask (perhaps indirectly) Michał about the wedding of his sister

zagadnij Michała

This is a different word: 'zagadn±ć'. The word 'zagaduję' may be either 1st per. sing of 'zagadywać' (imperf.) or 1st per. sing. of 'zagadn±ć' (perf.) and depending of the context may heave some different meanings.

'Zagadywać' have a few different meanings, but the one asked for is probably 'to make one busy speaking'.
Some other meanings may be:

Zagadywać kogo¶ na ¶mierć - to speak to someone until he dies (usually perf. form 'zagadać' would be used in this context)
Zagadywać do kogo¶ (= zagadn±ć kogo¶) - to start a conversation

If you told us more context of when/where you heard this we could find the right translation.

zagaduję tego kolegę

Starts off as a good joke/comedy

gumishu:

Totally agreed.

Example: When two of you are stealing a flower from a flower-shop, one of you is waiting for the seller to be distracted, and by doing so, you're the one who 'zagaduje' the seller - to draw his/her attention onto you and away from the other guy.

Zagaduję
Zagadujesz
Zagaduje

Zagadujemy
Zagadujecie
Zagaduj±

but the one asked for is probably 'to make one busy speaking'.

I'd say - 'to make one busy listening/distracted'

Cinek had a different point, as valid as the Gumishu's one, meaning 'I am talking and talking to this guy...'.

But like he said, without the full context, we won't be able to fully decipher it.
