Bishoff family history

Looking for family history of John Bishoff 1800, Leonard Hypolite Bishoff born 1828. Can anyone help me or tell me how i go about finding out any history please.

You will find the family name in west Poland (old Prussia) and German speaking countries.

Where exactly do you think they came from... what town or city ?

I believe they came from Kempen in Polland.
