Dowgiallo is an old almost an acient aristocrat name, and my family members are Dowgiallo and they are aristocrat, as for your question, you might be close, since the Jewish society had not bought this title.....

Around 480 people in Poland now use the Dowgiałło surname which is a polonised verison of the original Lithuanian name Daugėla. Its Lithuanian roots mean "great pain".
