Old Gorzow Cemetery - help to find it?

Trying to locate where my grandfather was buried in Gorzów is hard work as i just discovered the cemetery was levelled at some stage. He was buried there in 1946. Does anyone have any ideas, i would love to find old pics of it or its location on a map.

This is apparently the scene on All Saints/All Souls Day (1-2 Nov.), when millions visit the final resting places of loved ones and Polish cemteries are ablaze with votive lamps. There is also an old Jewish cetmery in Gorzów.

I cannot see an overturned cemetary at Gorzów listed at the website link below, but you can get an idea of how other cemetaries that suffered a similar fate look nowadays. These listings are old ethnic German village cemetaries from before WWII.

I am interested in them as I am half ethnic German, and half Polish.

Maybe if i go to Poland next year I can find it myself. I think they built a park over it, better than office blocks i guess.

We got war cemetery and jewish cemetery in Gorzów.

The War cemetery is located at 25Walczaka Street in Gorzów

Thanks B, my grandfather died a couple of years after WW2 ended - he was in the navy but died a civilian after spending some time in a Gorzow hospital.

There are many different, old cemeteries in Gorzow.
