Trying to find any info on Solowicze ?

Hi everyone. I'm new around here :)

I'm trying to find some information about my father's place of birth. According to his UK certificate of registration his place of birth is listed as 'Solowicze'.I have no idea which region of Poland this is in, he used to tell us it was on a river near the Russian border.
I have tried doing searches on the internet but have come up blank.....

Any information will be gratefully received.
