Mac Help, some Polish words get all mixed up

Hi

I'm sending some messages using mail in OSX 10.5.8 and sometimes (random) polish words get all mixed up... but not when i'm typing. Only later if I open the sent mail folder it will show up like this:

AAN zwraca siÄ� z proÅ�bÄ... o podanie informacji niezbÄ�dnych

instead of:

AAN zwraca siê z pro¶b± o podanie informacji niezbêdnych

any ideas?

looks like it is in UTF8 encoding

I'm a Mac/Mail user but never had this problem. Are you checking the sent mail from the Mail application or from some webmail ? If it's webmail, then the webpage may not handle the right character coding. If it's in the local Mail sentbox then I don't know how to fix it.
