Well, it's worth 10000, it must be worth lots!

Take it to your local bank :)

delphiadomine, you should be ashamed!

melinda541,

if it looks like this :

100000

It's work approximately nothing. AFter the currency conversion it was the equivalent of one new zloty, which is (by today's exchange rate) about 35 cents.

That is, if a bank would convert it, which I'm pretty sure they won't.

Think of it as a curio that looks like money.

I had my tounge planted firmly in my cheek ;)

There seems to always be someone posting on this forum trying to find out about the value of old zloty and not even doing a simple google search first - so I thought it might be amusing if they went to the bank and demanded to exchange it ;)

But how do they know if it's old zloty or new zloty? Neither of the Polish banknotes has "new" or "old" on the notes. But true, 10 000 zloty must look strange when you compare it to the present rate of exchange. You should ask yourself: what country issues such a face value if it's 2 350 euros if it were new zloties?

Important update:

i pó³ - and a half
trzydziesci trzy i jedna trzecia - thirty three and a third

but I'm not so sure about quarters. I've seen too many different words for this - czwarta, ęwierę, kwatera. etc.

At work, we use "i pó³" as an interjection just after someone has said a number.
