Polish characters on computer

What software can one use to try and write authentic Polish while in USA. My husband wants to write, and some of the Polish letters are not in regular Microsoft Word. We even added on the Polish language in Microsoft word, but still some of the letters are missing. Does anyone have a software program they can recommend, or any other advice?

You can get a Polish language pack off Microsoft to add to your MS Word, but really you do not need it. I have been using this for 6 years now. Windows XP: 1. Control Panel 2. date, Time, language and Regional.. 3. add other languages 4. details 5. key settings - choose Polish (Programmers) 6. remove English settings as you will not need them. 7. you might need to reboot the computer as English is set by default Then type as usual. When you come to a letter that you have in Polish press Alt & Ctr at the same time and then it will type the Polish letter.
