Thanks so much...

One more question, if I may?

An endearing nick-name for Danny/Dan/Daniel?

Would that be something that sounds like "dahn-yoo"?

And sorry...one more question...

I dated a Polish man years ago...there was an expression he used that sounded roughly like "Domm in ya bood gee"? He said it meant "give me a kiss"? Any clues on this one?

You all are wonderful!

1. How do you properly pronounce "daj me buzi"?

2. I'm pretty sure I know what "dupe" is, lol. So, how do you say: "Kiss my dupe", lol?

3. Anyone able to answer this? An endearing nick-name for Danny/Dan/Daniel?
Would that be something that sounds like "dahn-yoo"?

Sorry for all the questions, and thanks a million for your help!

Daniel is not a moose species, but a deer. And in Polish it's a Jeleń Daniel. And a Jeleń is an elk but a deer is a sarna so depending on the type of deer it can be a white-tail deer which in Polish is a Jeleń Wirgiński, or an elk which is also a Jeleń. And a Deer is a Sarna.

jeleń is stag, sarna is deer, łoś is moose. all i said was that my mom call gyus called daniel mooses, i never really checked if a daniel was a type of a moose or a deer...

Love this thread! I love cute Polish nicknames.. my boyfriend and i joke a lot and we sometimes call each other żabsko or żabisko.. big ugly smelly froggy.. i call him that cos i think it sounds even cuter and he just thinks its so funny that i find it cute! Probably not a good idea for anyone else to say this to their gf/bf though... hmm.. Also we went swimming one day and i had just learned that szybko means fast so i called him my szybko rybko (fast fishy) which kinda stuck :)

Other nicknames..
Tygrysek [/b](or Tygrysku when addressing him) - little tiger
Serduszko - sweetheart
Malpko - little monkey!
Pocieszny - (someone may possibly correct me on spelling of this but...) we dont have a word for it in English, you can call him that if you were upset and he made you feel better :)

Could anyone give me the affectionate version of my wife's name "Danna". She is visiting Poland right now, and in my letters to her I would like to address her more personally in Polish, as in "My Dearest Danna" (in Polish)

Thank you, so maybe Moj Najdrozsza Danna,

What about Moj Najdrozsza Dannaniusia? Too much? Does that even work?

Eurola I'm not sure I got it right.

Niunia, Niunius, Niusia are endearing words used alone and often added to your real name.
Your sapphire name could be sapphiruniunia, aune above could be called auniusia etc
Eurola

I apologize in advance for the poor formatting, I'm a newbie.

Aniołku is very nice. Kochaniołku is what I call my girl. It must sound strange to Polish ears

It's more of a girl's thing but girl's love it when their guy sincerely calls them sth sweet and not just casually said.
