What does it mean when 'TAK' is written in sentences such as:
"Czy muszę panstwo tak dużo mowić?" ?
or
"Tak bardzo chciałbym...!"?

I'm guessing it's an affirmation to add emphasis BUT I'm unsure of how it works. And its a bitch to try and translate into English.

If anyone could explain the details and help to clear up my understanding I would be most pleased.

It means so. It's used as an intensifier like we use so and such in English.

intensifier

Is it really an intensifier?

"Czy muszę panstwo tak dużo mowić?" ?

Do you have to talk so much?

"Tak bardzo chciałbym...!"?

So much, I would like...

ArcticPaul: "Czy muszę panstwo tak dużo mowić?" ?

Do you have to talk so much?

...but where is 'panstwo' in that translation?

I can relate to "Czy muszę (Must I ?) duzo mowic (much talk)".

panstwo is used when you are talking to a group of unknown people or people who are respected by you etc.
The same with "pan/pani" (adressing to one person): Czy pan/pani mówi po polsku? Do you speak Polish?
It's just a form of politeness. There is no such a destinction in English, where "you" is used for everything

Czy pan/pani mówi po polsku? Do you speak Polish?

There is no such a destinction in English, where "you" is used for everything

If translating "pan/pani " into English you use: "Mr/Mrs do you speak Polish?"
or "Sir/Madam do you speak Polish"

"Czy muszą panstwo tak dużo mowić?" ?

Small error.
"Państwo" can be addressed as "Sirs/Madams" or if addressing group of people by "you" , "please" should be added to show respect . That's how word "Państwo" works in Polish language. We don't address unknown (or older) people by "ty/wy" (you).

Sirs/Madams do you have to talk so much?
or
Please, do you have to talk so much?

No, duzo means 'a lot', dziadzio means grandfather.
